Team of the Quarter for Q2 - Team A


Congratulations to Team A for the great efforts in being named as the Team of the Quarter for the second time running.
The team enjoyed a sociable night out at dinner and once again it was great to see the close camaraderie evident amongst the team members.
Well Done!!

Team Leader Appointment - SMC Brisbane


SMC would like to congratulate Garry Burke on his appointment as Team Leader for "A" team in SMC Brisbane.

Garry started as a Monitoring Operator in SMC Melbourne in October 2004 and worked his way to a position of Shift Supervisor before transferring to SMC Brisbane in January 2008.

Garry, All the best for your new position and feel sure that you can rely on the support of the team at SMC Brisbane in your new role.

Team of the Quarter Dinner - SMC Melbourne


Congratulations to Team "A" on being named as Team of the Quarter for Q1 2008. The team dinner was only able to be held at this late date due to leave requirements for the team.


It was great to be able to see the very apparent team camaraderie that was evident amongst the team members outside of the workplace.

Minimum Operational Requirements (Standard Work) - SMC Melbourne

SMC Melbourne have introduced MOR's (Minimum Operational Requirements) in order to eliminate simple errors being made.

All operators are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the MOR's. The MOR's have also been placed at each workstation to assist operators.
